 3. Paper Jam Problem
Paper got stuck in the printer compartment is the most common problem. The issue arises due to wrinkled, folded and torn paper. Rather you should always use the packaged paper type and try not to insert more than 15- 20 pieces at a time.
Another reason could be bad or worn printer rollers that guide the pages for printing. To change them is sometimes a tiring job and should be done by HP expert technicians. Instead, you should try cleaning them first with a clean and dry cloth.
Sometimes the HP Printer Troubleshooting is needed because of inappropriate use of printers, more than the capacity. Always see the printer user manual, the printing capacity might differ as per the model.
 4. Faded Printouts
Faded or dull printouts are due to low ink level in Cartridges, the incorrect paper type used or light printing mode used. #1 diagnosis should be to change the paper, sometimes due to the paper being highly fibrous, doesn’t provide a flat surface for the ink to spread properly.
If your printer is heating up then wait for 5-10 minutes and let it cool down, this might also solve the problem. Check for the ink levels in ink cartridges, if it’s low then remove it from the slot and shake it lightly, if it doesn’t solve the problems then replace with genuine HP ink cartridges. HP Printer Troubleshooting for smeared printouts, read the next section.
 5. Smeared or Smudge Printouts
When you roll over your hands on the printed paper and found the words and images comes out or chipped out then that shows a smeared or smudge printing errors. Always use the HP recommended papers, always load the printing tray with printing side downwards.
If nothing of the above method works well then is the need to clean the cartridge nozzle with a clean cotton swab or cloth, using distilled water. For that, you need to open the cartridge door and remove the ink cartridge holding it from sides. And the gently clean the nozzle with a slightly wet swab. Remember only to use distilled water to wet and squeeze the excess water.
